BiographyFounder of the Honolulu Academy of Arts. According to Stephen McClaran, Anna Rice Cooke was born at Punahou School in Honolulu and moved with her family to Kauai when she was very young. According to Notable Women of Hawaii, she was born on Sept. 5, 1853 and died on Aug. 8, 1934.
