Margaret Fleming Waldron

BiographyMargaret Fleming Waldron (1910-1992) was born in Elburn, Illinois, and came to Honolulu in 1936 for the summer and stayed the rest of her life, leaving her position as acting head of the Art Department at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. While in Honolulu she worked for Grossman Moody, Ltd. She married Frederick A.S. Waldron and had two daughters. Together, the couple collaborated to design and decorate Hawai'i homes in the 1940s. She eventually moved to Waimea, Hawai'i Island. Her work has been featured in many homes and exhibitions and worked in several media including copper, silver, crystal, textiles, and painting.
