BiographyLocated in Tokyo's fashion center, Aoyama, Morita's extensive collection of small textile pieces is a valuable resource for foreign fashion designers who frequent the shop in search of ideas for their work. The owner, Tadashi Moritami collects kimonos, furoshikis (Japanese wrapping cloths), and theatrical costumes from homes and temples throughout the country. Morita also offers antiques and new mingei (Japanese folk crafts), unusual ceramics, as well as a large stock of textiles from Asia.
