DescriptionDry lacquer seated Abbot. Legs of figure are crossed and almost hidden by drapery. Eyes appear to be closed. Head is shaved; lobes of ears are distended. Robe corsses breaast from figure’s left to right, ending in folds on the right leg. Ribbom of band over left shoulder supports a ring from which hangs a tassel. Hands in lap, right hand held in left palm. Loose sleeves cover all but hands.
