DescriptionOver life-size figure of standing woman, her weight on left foot, in hip-shot position, right hip lower than left. Right foot extended forward to edge of pedestal on which figure stands, knee slightly bent & slanting inward. Left arm bent at elbow, the hand reaching up to touch neck. Chin resting on hand, with head bent to left, eyes hooded. Right arm, bent at elbow, crosses body at high waist, the hand extending around to touch body under left shoulder. Hair in plait, or coil, around front of head, ending at ears and gathered in large knot at back of head. Wears long, flowing garment, gathered slightly at waist, rounded at neck falling gracefully over hips and legs; shoulder-length sleeves.On View
