BiographyRenowned for his excellent calligraphy, the government official Yun Yong Gu is even today a household name in the field. He was also a celebrated painter of bamboo, orchids and landscapes. His calligraphy is in the collections of Harvard University’s Arthur M. Sackler Museum, the Smart Museum of Chicago, the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, the Univ. of Oregon Museum of Art and various museums in Korea.
