BiographyKonishi Fukunen (小西福年, 1887–1959) was a Nihonga painter. He was born in Fukui Prefecture. His personal name was Yūnosuke 猶之助, and his style name (azana) was Chōki 重熙. He was also known as Shibafuen芝生園. He studied painting under Suzuki Shōnen (see Entry 60), and he specialized in bird-and-flower paintings. He died in 1959 at the age of 73.Person TypeIndividual
