DescriptionOtsu-e painting. Painted on tan paper in color. Shomen Kongo, a Buddhist deity, geen, 4-armed, holds a wheel in upper right, staff in upper left, vajra in lower right, cord in lower left, is three-eyed with a flaming halo. Sun and moon are in upper corners, monkeys are on either side. At bottom are two figures, a rooster and a hen. The painting is mounted on narrow gilt brocade, wider brown brocade, and tan silk. Part of a group of four paintings (HAA 1685.1-1688.1)
