DescriptionThis suite of prints appears to be a reinterpretation of the images that Odagiri Shunkö (1810-1888) produced for his version of Famous Views of Owari Province (Owari Meisho Zue), 1838-1841.Atsuta Shrine is located in modern-day Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture. Measuring 8.25 meters in height, the Sakuma lantern, which was donated to the shrine by Lord Sakuma Moritsugu (act. 16th C.) of Owari province, is one of the largest stone lanterns in Japan.
