Ikeda TerukataJapanese, 1883 - 1921

Born in Tokyo. Given name Seishirö. Husband of Ikeda Shöen. Studied with Mizuno Toshikata and then with Kawai Gyokudö. Exhibited paintings at Bunten. Participated with Kaburagi Kiyokata and Yamanaka Kodö in formation of Ugökai in 1901. Prints in contemporary ukiyo-e style published by Akiyama Buemon; Shino-Japanese War prints published by Fukuda Kumajirö. Posthumous print in New Ukiyo-e Beauties, 1924.
