Itö Takashi (Takayuki)Japanese, 1894 - 1982
Born 1894 near Hamamatsu. Studied Japanese-style painting with Kaburagi Kiyokata and at Tokyo School of Fine Arts and with Yüki Somei. Exhibited paintings at Teiten. Landscape prints, totaling ca.50, were published by Watanabe Shözaburö 1922-1930s. In early works he experimented with compositions printed in few colors; later prints made in full color.
