DescriptionSheet from the Kako-genzai Inga-kyö (Sutra of Part and Present Karma). Upper part with illustration painted with dark outlines and washes of color. Water (river?) in center with rocky cliffs on either side. On right side is a flat place with tree, and under overhanging rocks, a kneeling person in a pink kimono-type robe with hair done in three horn-like projections. Above the water are two being apparently running down from heaven, clad in full brownish trousers. Each carries a saucer, pink and green scarves stream out behind them. Two trees on cliffs to left. Below are twelve vertical rows of eight characters each, Tang style, written in black ink. (Probably a picutre of angels bringing nourishment to the meditating Buddha.)On View
