According to its date, this print likely depicts actor Ichikawa Kuzo II as Kakogawa Honzö (above) and the onnagata actor Onoe Baiko IV as Öishi Kuranosuke (below) in the 1849 production of "Kanadehon Chushingura" at the Nakamura theater.
